About Me

Kristin Smith: is a writer, editor and journalism teacher in San Francisco. She is the former Managing Editor of Curve Magazine, the founder of the soon-to-be-launched Mixed Candy Magazine and on the board of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalist's Association. Kristin has written for print and online publications such as San Francisco Magazine, The Bold Italic, Curve, 7x7, Civil Eats and The SF Bay Guardian. Through the Gates Foundation, Kristin wrote curriculum that is used by teachers nationwide. Her work focuses on the arts, education, LGBT issues and outdoor adventure.
